Pastor Fox and FamilyOur Pastor

Pastor Jim Fox was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY.  He came to faith as a child through the work of Chosen People Ministries (then called the American Board of Missions to the Jews).  Jim earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Polytechnic University in 1982.  After spending four years aboard ships in the Navy as a junior officer, and two years in New Jersey, Jim with his wife Rebecca and their two oldest children (Joanna and Daniel) moved down to Dallas, Texas where Jim earned his Master of Theology degree from Dallas Theological Seminary.  Returning back to New York with the addition of their daughter Hannah, Jim ministered on the staff of Chosen People Ministries.  Feeling led to minister where his pastoral gifts could be better used, Jim left Chosen People and became pastor of Windsor Avenue Bible Church in Oceanside, NY.  Jim led the ministry there until he sensed God calling him to become senior pastor of Evangel Baptist.

Jim is joined by his lovely wife, Rebecca, who is gifted in counseling and discipling women.  They have four children:  Joanna, Daniel, Hannah and Naomi, and one grandchild (Zoe).
