How to Go to Heaven?

  • Be perfect and sinless (never break any one of the ten commandments...not even once...ever).

-OR- understand the following:

  • God loves you and has a great plan for your life:
    • "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in Him shall not persish but have eternal life." John 3:16
    • Jesus said, "...I have come that they might have life, and have it to the full." John 10:10
  • Man is sinful and separated from God our creator and giver of life.
    • "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
  • Sin has a penalty that must be paid:
    • "For the wages of sin is death..." Romans 6:23
    • "Just as a man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment" Hebrews 9:27
  • Jesus Christ has paid the penalty for your sin!
    • "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
    • "But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. " Isaiah 53:5
  • Salvation is a free gift of grace by God:
    • "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works, so that no one can boast." Ephesians 2:8-9
  • You must receive Jesus Christ into your life as Lord and saviour:
    • "But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority (power, privilege, right) to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name--" John 1:12[amp]
    • "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13
  • You must ask for forgivness and repent (turn away from) from your sin:
    • "Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord..." Acts 3:19
  • You must serve your Lord with all your heart:
    • "as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, with goodwill doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men" Epesians 6:6-7
    • "This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome" 1 John 5:3

How to Go to Hell

  • Disregard everything advised above:
    • "But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars--their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death" Revelation 21:8
    • "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven." Matthew 7:21
    • "And I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him!" Luke 12:4-
    Remember: You will not live in this life forever. 10 out of 10 people die and that includes you. There is only a certain amount of time left before you face judgment. It could be today or fifty years from now, no one knows their date with death. Are you ready? Have you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour? Do it today, there is no time to loose.
    Pray to God to receive this free gift of salvation; let Him know you need Him and you want to be set free from sin. He promises if you call on Him to save you , you will be saved. (Joel 2:32) Need help praying? Read Psalm 51
